1. Friday was the usual meeting with friends in SF. Festive we were! Home fairly early but not to sleep early ;P

2. Saturday, I was up earlier than what I wanted. Jim text-ed me to see if a quick trip to the wineries in Livermore sounded good. It was. Nix the gym, and food shopping. Off to Livermore it was. It is such an easy drive. Seems faster than going to Napa. And the wineries are just as good, if not better.

3. We only had a few hours to visit and wine taste. So done early enough to get home for dinner. Jim had to get back to his place. On my way back, my friend David (who lives in Mt View), called and suggested we go out with our friend Carlos for dinner (he wanted to take Carlos out for a belated birthday dinner). So we all met at Maxes Cafe in Burlingame. I had not been there in years. Good food! On my way back from the wineries, I was chatting with David, not paying attention. Missed the 237 exit to 880 south, and ended up north at the Oakland Coliseum. Just in time for the baseball game! LOL. Then I get back on 880 south and then not paying attention, miss the San Mateo Bridge exit, end up in downtown Hayward. OY! I have never done this! I have lived here so long all of this should be automatic! Well, guess they are right. Stay off the cell phone when driving!!!!!!!!! So my 30 minute trip probably took 45 minutes longer! LOL! (I hope I am not turning into my mother!)

4. Up early on Sunday, I washed two cars, fed turtle, went to the gym, and watered my plants. The weather had changed drastically since Saturday. It was getting warm!

5. Once done, it was time to go to the Castro, for Furry Sunday at 440 (it was scheduled a week early due to pride being next week) . A fairly packed house. And with the warm weather, a shirtless packed house to boot. Woof!

6. Home for a late dinner, and in bed for the 11 o'clock news, I was woken up around 1 am by my sweat. Damn it's warm!

7. Living in South San Francisco is interesting. Most times it is cool enough at night to sleep with blankets (I have light wool one under the bedspread). I have always been one to like weight on me (either that of man or sheets). I am not a one sheet sleeper. (Usually it can be as low as 50-60 degrees at night, due to the ocean air and fog, yet only 10 miles south of here it can be 5-10 degrees warmer)

8. So with the blankies on me on Sunday night, I woke up just roasting! Got up, opened all the windows, turned on the ceiling fan in the dining area. Put my ear plugs in, and back to sleep.

9. Monday it was pretty hot. My office has one little fan, halogen track lights (which I had off due to it being too warm). My apt was pretty warm too!

10. I took my Mom's car into the repair shop to have the AC fixed. The quote was much better than I thought. Since I have to be up in Sacramento, next Wednesday I had better get this fixed! I have to go to my Aunts memorial service at Lake Tahoe on Thursday. So will be staying at my sisters home the night before in Sacramento, then drive up with them on Thursday. The car will be ready on Wednesday. Then I will bring the older car to have an oil change and have them find out why my blower relay switch is not turning off. This car has air, but the blower stays on even when the engine is off (I unplugged it. But then can't get AC or heat!)

Is this car month or what??

11. By about 5 pm, one could feel the ocean air make its way over the area. It slowly cooled as the hours progressed.

12. Monday was gym night. The gym has no AC. Since I did weights on Sunday, I thought it best just to work on the StairMaster then the treadmill for an hour. Pouring sweat I was!

13. Well last night the weather really cooled down by about 10pm. The ocean air breeze was in fact chilly! It was time to close some of the windows. Which meant more sheets on top of me as I sleep. :)

14. Even though chilly this am, they are predicting more hot weather today.

15. Aside from that, work been somewhat busy. We are starting to get the property ready for owner visits. Windows washed and touch up painting done.

16. Not sure what I am doing for pride. Seeing what friends are going to do. Certainly Pink Saturday in the Castro is a must. The parade on Sunday, I may go to. But certainly the Civic Center after.

bleh... I just hate heavy blankets. I am definitely a single sheet guy in the winter and no sheets at all in the summer

Oh, looks like I finally was able to send you over the hot and warm weather we had the last weeks, after you had cold weather... now I have the cold weather and the rain. LOL
Wish you a nice week!
