Day off today!

0. Its been one of those weeks. Busy. And I have really been neglecting lj for far too long. Catching up is a pain!

1. Well looks like corporate or HR did not screw up this time, so I have the day off. Unfortunately I have to use 2012 allotted sick days (5/per yr). The screw up last time did not allow me to use the 2011 sick day :(

2. Of the 32 invites to Saturday's little get together at my place 17 said yes (I never knew how cool Evite is! I think I'll use it more often, even for a small group).

3. All of the invited guest are very close friends, and/or those that I thought I should repay, for their inviting me to their place.

4. And a few hook-ups I had in the past LOL

5. I did manage to sneak out on this weeks lunch break, to order some food platters at Costco. Also checked out other stuff, at Trader Joe's, Safeway, and Smart and Final (I actually like Smart & Final. Pretty similar in price to Costco. Not as crowded, and not as much over sized bulky stuff! I don't have that much storage space.

6. Today I am off to get the sodas, some liquor, condiments etc at these various places. Also get my rear tale light replaced.

7. I have a feeling I will have too much food. Well, next week I begin to rev up my cardio training. So for now, eat up! (I will probably have left overs for days! Good! Yummy stuff I usually never eat! I love eating!)

8. When shopping at Costco, and looking at the great stuff they have, I always think to myself, "Why did I not have the sense to purchase Costco stock (and Apple, Trader Joe's, Starbucks stock) when it was cheap? Like $10-$20 per share!"

9. Oh! I forgot! I was broke! I could hardly pay rent then :)

Yeah, buying stock, it might be a good chance to get a lot of money but it´s a big risk, I think. And yes, first you have to have the money to buy them and then you can make money, maybe... looks like you only can get rich when you already have much money... :-(

I recently went into a Smart and Final for the first time in about 10 years. I used to go there as a teacher, taking my students with special needs to purchase supplies for our school work programs, vending machines, etc., but I never really shopped there for myself. I had to get things I'd forgotten for my dish for Christmas dinner. One item I needed was 1 red and 1 green pepper, but they only came in a package of four. Also, they were GIANT peppers, 1 red, 2 green, and 1 yellow. I made my recipe and I am STILL using peppers in practically every single dish every single night. I suspect they may have had a little genetic assistance along the way. But I'm going back this weekend for some other bulk items, like breakfast bars. Pretty good deals.
