The weekend and week so far

1. Waking up with a chest cold on Monday morning is not a fun thing. But guess the last 2 weeks caught up with me. Plus Tom, then Lee had been sick for almost a 2 week period. So hanging with them did not help. Nor getting home from the Madonna concert at 1:30am did not help

2. I was feeling that I was maybe getting something on Friday. So I doubled up on the Zinc pills. And Monday took some Mucinex though the 24 hr period. So much better now. I am skipping gym till the weekend. I have a tendency to get lung issues when getting a cold (since birth)... so I try to be cautious.

3. Friday I stayed in for the evening. It was nice. Caught up on shows, dating sites, and reading LJ.

4. Saturday, was the usual food shop, gym, house clean. Our gang all met at 440 that night to meet up with departing bartender Brad, and his BF Darrin. Really had a great time! It is love, when Darin, is willing to transfer, or give up his job, if he can't get a job transfer, to move with Brad. I'm glad I went out that night. It was a good chance to get to know Darin better. He is a really cool man.

5. Sunday was the Castro Fair. Met up with all (took Bart) at 1pm. It was not really too crowded this year. With 6-7 events happening around SF, it's no wonder why. The lessened the amount of straight people (gawkers) for sure. But poor vendors! Bet they did not sell as much this year.

6. I returned home via Bart, in time to change and wait for Mark to drive to San Jose, HP Pavilion, to wait for Madonna, who's show started 2 hrs late!

7. We ate dinner at a cool place, "Billy's and something or other" near Post street. On way back to the pavilion, we stopped to look at Splash, the local gay bar. Wow! Did not know they did a remodel. And low and behold an old acquaintance was the security door man.

8. Frank, an other member of Mamas family also, I had not seen in a few years. He was the guy that about 8 yrs ago, purchased some scissor hands at Folsom Fair. And kiddingly touched my bare back and new leather shorts. Those things were so sharp, he made bloody tracks down my back, and ripped my shorts! (I still wear those ripped shorts on fair occasion. Quite popular. Thanks Frank! :)

9. Even though the Madonna concert ran late, the show was worth it. The production must of cost millions, with the hydrolyic moving stages, light shows and such. Plus this woman is in shape! She still dances and flips pretty well! Plus the elastic band catwalk balancing flipping and dancing by the group and Madonna was really cool.

10. Monday was a very slow and sleepy day at work for me. I was in bed early that night and last night. Feeling a bit better too

11. Of course when you're feeling like shit that's when you get offers on line, or in person to hook up with people. But when you're feeling chipper, nothing happens! LOL. OY!

12. Today working on company reports. Tonight my maintenance man and I go to the city meeting to receive a beautification award for our property. We were vying against 40 other properties in the SSF area. We will go out to dinner after

13. Thursday, I'm off to San Jose to a Tri County Apt Association party, get together. My GM could not go, so she offered me the ticket. I get to meet owners of other properties, management companies and maybe some old friends from the previous management companies I worked for.

14. Well, back to work!

Felling better today, but still taking it easy. Thanks! Think with kids back at school, it seem to spur colds everywhere. I hang to the left (my left) :P
