The Weekend and Week so far

Lee's Birthday dinner at Espetus


1. Last Friday, I did manage to get up to SF, just for a bit, to meet up with Mark, Cody, Tom,and Lee. It was Lee's birthday on Wednesday, so the guilt trip to meet up and buy him a drink.

2. Unlike me, who hates birthdays, most of my friends milk it. Lee was not too bad, a weeks worth of milking it. Ho's milking usually lasts 2 weeks, maybe 3. Mama. Two months! LOL

3. I left work a bit late, so drove up, found parking fairly quickly. Stayed out a bit. Got a burrito to go (ate it while driving home). Took a Zantac, then off to sleep.

4. Saturday met Lee at the gym. We had a pretty good workout. Nice thing about a training partner is we push more, push faster therefore more sore a few days later. Guess that's a good sign.

5. Saturday was Lee's birthday dinner at Espetus. The food was fantastic. Basically an all you can eat establishment. Cody and Jack to there at least once a month. They love it.

6. The waiters (who were hot!), would go to our table with long skewers of meat, offer some, then slice a bit off the side. Then we would use our individual tongs to grab the sliced meat. They offered lamb, prawns, fillet Mignon, rib eye, pork, chicken, chicken hearts. The works!

7. The 11 of us ate like pigs. We must of ordered 6-7 pitchers of Sangria (the Sangria at Cafe Mystique is better). And the dessert servings were huge.

8. The bill for the whole thing was double of what most of us calculated. Ouch! Lee was a bit upset that it cost so much (he said he would call them the next day and ask about it. Not sure if he did or not)

9. After, it was off to home. Stuffed!!! Sunday was a big day coming up with the SF 49 game and a 80's Dance Theme at Beat Box benefiting the Aids Emergency Fund.

10. Sunday I drove by the only sports bar in the Castro. It was packed with cheering fans. So I went to 440, a more comfortable venue to watch the 49'ers win the game. Yay!

11. After, it was off to Beat Box (an early 4pm event. Yay), with Cody.

12. It was a fun event. Say lots of friends. Danced. Danced. Danced.

13. Home fairly early, I prepped a light salad for dinner, since I ate too many slices of pizza that day, and stuffed myself the night before.

14. All in all a pretty good weekend. Now back to the real world of work.

LOL! Well even at that, with 11 peeps it should not of been $116 each (as all run to the ATM). Ouch!! We expected $50 each, plus the split for Lee.

I just found out that the pitchers of Sangria were $40 each! Of course no one asked the price of drinks before hand, so guess we deserved that one o_O
