back from New Orleans; and so much different than SF

Pictures coming soon. Southern Decadence and New Orleans was fantastic! That includes the wonderful lightning storms and warm drenching rain, which we don't get out here. We ate wonderful food, drank, "played" in the bars, and skinny dipped every night. Cruised the 100,000+ tourists for 6 days. What I could not believe was the looseness of everything. One can take your drink anywhere, from bar to bar. Bars are open all night. There are back rooms and sex in most bars; like San Francisco once had. XXX porn is allowed to play on the monitors. What an experience. Lots of nasties were also viewed outdoors (Yeiks! I hope I don't find myself on X-tube, or YouTube). The food was fantastic. The and the visitors were a treat to watch. Being over 90 degrees, and very very humid....there was a lot of skin of all shapes and sizes to admire. We had the luck of being only 50 feet from the stage when Debra Cox sang her heart out on the Bourbon Street stage, as the huge crowd were being showered with confetti. This really topped any of the street fairs I have ever been to. Again. Fantastic! This video of Debra does not do her justice. Her voice is incredible and powerful in person.
Some Highlights: Stayed in a beautiful townhouse, walking distance to the French Quarter; had a pool, which at night became quite active with the skinny dippers (us and others). Also in the pool were some strippers from Montreal, that were working at the local bar for the weekend (woof). Most bars have male strippers dancing on the bar. For a buck tip you can quick touch or quick suck.
A 4 hr paddle wheel river boat cruise down the Mississippi. Educational and beautiful, relaxing.
Ate at Bayona to celebrate a birthday. Bayona is rated one of the top 50 restaurants in US, and top 3 in LA. And the prices were very very reasonable.
And other days...ate at the oyster bars. Shopped. Ate. Shopped. Ate. Shopped. Ate. Partied.....Ate, played, ate. Oh! And slept some too.
Met men from SF and California. Many were also from Houston/Dallas, Florida, South East, East Coast. Southern men are sexy!! And their southern drawl make em sexier!!! And those men from Texas? Proof that Texas beef produces Texas beef (woof!)
The dragon flys are huge! And so are the cockroaches scurrying across the sidewalk at night!
The lighting storms are fun. Hurricane Drinks are deadly. Gets one in a lot of fun trouble ;-).
After all this I never gained weight. Go figure.

no weight gain???

after being decadent, at Southern Decadence with food, wine, drink, fish, oysters, beef, and drink again. And little sleep. I have not gained a pound. What's up with that? Well, I did swell up with the humidity, and lost it all, once back in CA. In any case off to meet my gym trainer after over a week of no work out tomorrow night and Saturday. Last time we met, I doubled my dead lifts in about a week. And hope to do that with the bench press this week and the next. Hope I did not loose my strength over this vacation time. We will see. What I don't understand is he keeps me concentrating on my pecs. They are getting big (which i get complements on). But hope he begins concentrating on other parts soon. We have started on legs and back, and shoulders. But I want him to help me more on my arms. Well..... he is the expert. So we shall see what else pain he will inflict me with :-)
