My visiting friend John, who has been here from Canada for a month visiting friends all over CA, told me that:
1. His psychologist friend said that business is booming. Seems to be a lot more people have been really depressed this year. Due to the economy and all.
2. Another friend, works for the Golden Gate Bridge district. They are being told not to publicize this too much, but he said suicide rates are way up. Highest this year than ever.
3. :(

I wish I knew a lot of this stuff. Every Sunday I wake up to "God Talk", with Brent Walters on KGO radio. The host, is very good. Liberal and knows his stuff.
I caught the end of this program, but this morning in lew of it being the anniversary of Kristallnacht, he was talking about how the Bible, and its writing were changed, to its end to be antisemitic.

One example was that the original versions of text/writings of the New Testament, had the resurrection of Jesus happening on Passover, not the pagan holiday of Easter.

I don't know the bible well at all, but he was referring to scripts and writings of the old and new testament, how from original scrips were edited, especially the King James version, in an antisemitic way. This irritates me. But it is interesting.
This stuff, like history, is quite interesting. And it challenges those staunch Bible thumpers. Some call in pretty irritated. Yay :)

That is all everyone is talking about at the bars.
The consensus seemed to be,
1. Where were we? I did not see door knocking, picket signs in the suburbs of CA. Only in the Castro. That doesn't help. You don't picket a gay area for gay rights.
2. Example. In South San Francisco, where I live, for 2 weekends in a row, there were Yes on 8 protestors picketing along El Camino Real, from Westborough Blvd, down to Tanforan Shopping Center. That's over 3 miles! And the number of picketers was large. So how many other "straight" cities did they organize in?
3. Like the Obama campaign, they were very very organized.
4. We were not. We blew it. We were too confident.
5. I think, we need some better organization next time.

1. Off to Eagle to help (if they need it) with the SF Daddies Boy toy drive. Christmas already?
2. My hunky nephew and his beautiful girlfriend come to my place tonight, to park their car, and I drive them to SFO. They are off to Puerto Rico. Lucky bums. So I can't stay out late.
3. I was going to say to them, "Say hi to Sister Bertrille,". They are only 30 yrs old. Don't think they will get that one :)
