this weekend...
1. It was damn hot. 90 in SF.
2. Did not go to Eagle. But helped a bit for my friend Carlos's 45th Birthday bash, at Aunt Charlies Bar to benefit AEF (Aids Emergency Fund)
3. In spite of a being not in the best part of town, and a small bar... there was a great turnout
4. Good Drag and non drag (men) show
5. And I had the privilege to honor Carlos by reading a proclamation for his outstanding service, which was given by Mayor Gavin Newsom
6. Patrick also read a proclamation that was given my Senator Mark Leno
7. A moving moment for Carlos. And a deserved award at that.
8. So the food and festivities when on. They raised over $800 for the AEF. Good job all!
