Getting ready for holiday cheer
Dec. 24th, 2011 10:27 am1. The weather has been absolutely beautiful during the day. But cold at night (to date we are lacking decent rain totals for the year).
2. I did stay in last night, enjoyed my tree. But was up late for the green tea I drank after dinner, kept me up till 2:30 am.
3. So I spent some time trying to upload new Flash Player (Facebook says I need to), with no luck. The Adobe site was down for most of the time, but then alias, got in, yet it still would not load (Reading the the apple support site comments and help desk, I think this can be accomplished, but I need to uninstall the old, and reinstall the new. Too hesitant to do this, and being 2 am, I decided to wait till later (or find a savvy Apple minded friend to do it for me:)
4. I took some quickie photos of my place a few days ago (with my phone so not so good). Glad my sister made and helped me put this stuff up (was over 5 yrs since).
5. My few Victors (4) that I have here, one where Santa is sitting, do work. Never play them. But one must wind them up periodically so the parts don't freeze up. Oops! Haven't done that in a very long time.
6. I will be off to my sister's home in a few hrs. It will probably take longer than expected, due to the last minute shopping at the outlet center in Vacaville. Traffic I'm sure will be horrendous.
7. I did not know what to get my turtle for Christmas. A hat like what the turtle is wearing in the Kmart commercial would be cute. But I have a turtle, not a tortoise, so his hat would not stay on, or even an attempt to put it on, would be impossible. He would tuck his head into the shell immediately. LOL
