The weekend and week so far
Feb. 28th, 2012 09:01 am1. Yes. I'm bad. I have not had the time, to catch up (or post) totally on LJ nor Facebook either
2. Friday, since Jim was not out of work till late, and I did not want to be out late, so I decided to stay home, and go to the gym.
3. I walk in, and I'm the only one there. Talk about feeling weird. Like an old spinster, nothing to do on a Friday night. No date?
4. Slowly though, the gym started filling up. First with some kids and a fitness coach (a beefy bear! Woof!), then some of the familiar faces.
5. Home after dinner, I decided to try on my tux pants, which I would be wearing for Imperial Coronation Saturday night. I thought I had brought them in for alterations (let out), with a few last summer. I didn't. HELP! They don't fit!
6. I took them to my dry cleaners Saturday morning, and they were able to alter them within a couple of hours. YAY! That afternoon, I also made a quick cake (my sister's recipe) for and Academy Awards pot luck on Sunday. It turned out pretty good. Very rich and yummy!
7. So Saturday night was the Coronation (or Boring nation). It was great seeing many visiting from out of town, and the familiar friends dressed up, or in Drag. The entertainment was great. The drinks not. $10! I actually stayed for most of it. To see Saybelline and Frankie step down (as courtesy for Saybellene. He was instrumental in helping me and my friends find a fabulous townhouse rental for Southern Decadence a few yrs ago).I really don't know who won this year, but do know the Empress is some guy that won Hayes Valley Leather a few years ago. He looks good in drag!
8. Later on it was to the Castro, and home by 1 am.
9. Sunday I actually was up early, to the gym, the off to friend Lances by 5pm to join the usual friends to watch the Academy Awards.
10. Good food at the potluck. But the next day I gained 4lbs (probably too much salt intake eating the chips, dips, hot wings, and such). Back to my normal weight today
11. Speaking of weight, what happened to Angelina Jolie? The camera is suppose to make you look 5-10 lbs heavier. Damn! She is too thin!
12. This Thursday is a function honoring Lenny Broberg's 20th Anniversary as Mr SF Leather
12. Well off to work! I have to interview prospects for Leasing Consultant. Hate doing that
