1. Last Friday and Saturday night I stayed in, and decided to start cleaning out my file cabinets of useless, and sometimes duplicate and triplicate files. What a difference! Now I have to do the tedious long task of shredding!

2. Saturday morning was the usual gym. Then a bit of food shopping afterward.

3. I did go on line and fill out the stuff for my passport renewal. All I need to do is get my photo taken. Hopefully I can do this at lunch time.

4. After talking with my sister who did this(I'm such an idiot not to of thought of this), and will be also applying for American citizenship (It's costs over $600!!!). Once that is accomplished 6-12 months from now, I will then request my citizenship papers from Canada. Canada acknowledges dual citizenship. I will have the best of both worlds :)

5. Work has been slow. We got a new GM (our last one that I just loved was canned. They said she was not a good fit. That is 4 GM's in 6 yrs. Something fishy at corporate). They were to show up and meet me, between 11 am and 1 pm. Never did. Later to tell me they had to get back to the office. So they rescheduled for Thursday morning. Arg!!! I missed lunch and all. How rude of them. They do this all the time!

6. During the file cleaning, I found some old 4th grade pics of myself which I will scan later and post here. No wonder I was bullied! LOL.

7. Sunday I actually did gym but my little one close to home. Lee came down to work out with me. Had brunch, then later met the gang at the Eagle beer bust. The weather was divine!

8. After a very Monday and Tuesday, today looks like it will be a winner. Warming up quite nicely!

9. Well off to work! HAPPY HUMP DAY!!!

1. Last year it was reported that a builder of the new San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge failed to disclose that a 19-foot section of concrete in the foundation of the span's signature tower had not hardened before it was tested. By keeping quiet about the problem, the builder prevented further examination or repair. Experts said the problem, combined with other construction and testing lapses by the California Department of Transportation and its contractors, raises new questions about the structural integrity of the bridge. Oh Great!

2. And now this week, questions are being raised about the 30 fractured bolts found on the new bay bridge structure. Caused by exposure to hydrogen, either by the manufacturing process, or by exposure to water, or other issues

3. So much for quality control!

4. We sometimes laugh at our parents and grandparents and their backward ways. But it was their generation that constructed 2 wonderful bridges; the Golden Gate Bridge (1937) and the Bay Bridge (1933), with as far as I can find out, without any structural construction problems at all. Yay them!

5. Our ancestors were pretty smart after all! :)
