The weekend and week so far

1. Last Friday, although I wanted to stay in, I did end up going to SF for a bit for Happy Hour at the Midnight Sun, and 440. I was home fairly early which is a good thing. Some friend kept teasing me to meet him there. Get there, and he hardly spoke to me. Humm. Next time I'll forgo meeting him!

2. Saturday it was the usual, gym at Fitness SF/Castro, and a haircut. A bit of food shopping, and home for a bit of apt cleaning.

3. I still have not caught that little mouse, that I think squeezed in via the front door threshold. My place is pretty clean, so I think this smart guy/gal is just visting for the yummy peanut butter on the trap, that he/she smartly manages not to snap while snacking. I did put glue traps also, with no luck so far. Hate using those. Seems so much more cruel.

4. Friend Patrick had an late afternoon fundraiser at the Edge Bar for Tenderloin Tessies. Not much of a turnout. But they raised about $500 which is not bad. Got to catch up with Tiger Lily and his partner Nathan while there as well. I was back home for a yummy steak dinner, and some R & R. I have really been working hard at the gym these last couple weeks since I am now over the cold. And I am feeling it. Exhausted! My younger friends just don't understand that it takes longer for a 59 yr old to recoup and rebound than a 45 or even 50 yr old! LOL

5. Sunday I stayed close by and went to the neighborhood gym instead of the SF gyms. I later ventured to the monthly BUTCH event at Renegades in San Jose. Saw dendren and Bob, and got to hangout with friend Khol. After I devoured some slices of pizza served, it was home to eat again! LOL

6. I have been almost caught up with LiveJournal. And FB is getting too much indeed! Since I joined some of these closed groups (closed due to adult photo content (wink), my friends list via that seems to be growning. Up to 1100 already. I am only accepting requests if they have at least 5 mutual friends. Reading the posts, as they whizz by at a fast rate by the hour is pretty much impossible. Posting quickly on it is surely eaiser by phone vs Livejournal.

7. Oh OK. They are not really friends, just names mostly (although my close freinds are on here as well. Those are the ones I really know :)

8. One request I did accept, one, without common mutual friends. 17 yrs old, lives in Rio. Oy! He is nagging me daily. Think he is a hussler as well. LOL. I am on the verge of un friending him or blocking him. LOL

9. Seems via these closed groups I met a few local men. One invited me to party in the East Bay next Friday night. Some Bear group. Looks like it can also be an hot tub night if one wishes. Rule is, it's not suit optional :). I think I need to go to this one. Might meet some nice guys. And I need a change of venue.

10. This Saturday I am off to Santa Rosa to celebrate a 39th birtday at Chevys. This new friend I also met on Facebook recently. A really sweet nice man. He just lost his partner (heart attack) in November, after a 13 yr relatonship. He is actually doing quite well, inspite of his loss. Disabled all his life, he is really an up beat guy. Good sense of humor, and a really good communicator. Smart man! He does have some down days, but all and all he is taking it one day at time. He is taking body conditioning classes a few days a week, and trying to move on as the cliche expressions says.

11. The Boston bombing is sad, but I'm trying to not watch the spin, spin, and spin the news media pours out on us. I'll give it some time, and catch up on it later.

12. Not sure about Sunday as yet. I might just be too exahusted to do much! But then again, a trip to SF to the Eagle Sunday afternoon to see my friends, and one of my fave bartenders just might be a plan (I have a slight crush on him. And friend Lee has already friended him on FB. That bitch! LOL

Aside from keeping the existing staff at the Eagle, they have also hired many new men (all are hot!)
Joe, is one of my faves. I have a slight crush on him. Of course, he's married! :(
