Estate Party - Sunday - Lazy Bear
1. Lazy Bear was fun! Not a blast, but fun. (I mentioned on FB about wanting to go to Bear Weekend in P-Town sometime. A friend, who is an absolute hunk commented "Why spend all that money to be ignored?". LOL. Well it is cheaper to be ignored at Lazy Bear. LOL) I took a sick day on Friday, of last week, drove up to Guerneville later than expected. The traffic from Novato to Petaluma was bad. Bumper to bumper. It seems they have been working on the section of freeway for years. And it is usually backed up often. But this time, it seemed worse.
2. I got there about 3 pm, met up with Patrick (of Patrick and Jake, hosts of where we stayed last year) at their house to pick up the keys to the rental and tour the rental. He had stuff to do before taking me to his sisters rental, so I hung out next door at the Sonoma Nesting Company for a Wine tasting event. By the time Patrick returned, Mark and Ho had arrived. We visited with Patrick and Jake and Patrick's mother (Miss Gay) at their home, then went to the rental to get the tour. Great home. Next to the old Willows Resort. A easy walk to town.
3. Once settled. Mark, Ho, and I went off to town to the local haunts, ran into so many friends, familiar faces.
4. We of course hung out at the R3, and the Rainbow. We did not stay out too late, for Saturday was a busy day. I slept on the fold out couch that was missing the cross bar. Yikes! A very uncomfortable sleep! Next night I chose to sleep on the floor in my sleeping bag. Much better choice!
5. Saturday morning, Fonzz and Carlos arrived, and later that day FB friend Jose. We spent most of the day at the Country Fair event at the Estate. Mark was hosting it. It was pretty good!
6. Dinner on Saturday was a BBQ at Patrick and Jakes house, and we purchased enough food for an army! Invited all we could but most did not make it due to prior commitments. The leftovers were used for Sunday's brunch. And still there was plenty left over after that.
7. The bars (all 2) were packed Saturday night. We later went to SWEAT. That was packed as well. I have not seen so many hot men in one venue in a long time. Bears, Muscle Bears, and of course the circuit bears. WOOF!
8. Sunday was the Estate Party at the estate of course. Hung out and sunned, talked with friends and this time did not sun burn. Yay! We later had dinner at a place called Sushi and Hamburgers. Odd name, but the Sushi was great!
9. I was home by 9 pm, and in bed by 10. This week has been grueling. Busy keeping the building going (our new maintenance man started yesterday. Working on the 2014 budgets. Just busy.
10. My shoulder was a bit better, but was acting up at the River (maybe sleeping on the floor did not help.
11. I made an appt with my primary and met him yesterday. And of course the day I see him, my shoulder is feeling better. Always the way
12. My Doc said he was jealous and proud of me of being so fit. That's after I ribbed him on a plate of cake I saw sitting on his desk. So after the Doctor made me do all sorts of motions with my arm, made me take off my shirt to see how the shoulders are from the back and front to see if they are equally even or not, he said I did not damage the rotator cuff, and that it's mild Tendinitis or cuff tendinitis. Ice the shoulder when needed and take ibuprofen. Continue to work out and if shoulder is acting up, do so lightly.
13. He also mentioned about getting a Shingles shot. That seems to be the new rage all of a sudden.
14. BUT! Or should I say BUTT! He cornered me in getting a Coloscopy! He scheduled it for when ever I can do it, get a ride to Kaiser and back etc (some may consider a coloscopy a ride in itself! LOL).
15. I had a sigmoidoscopy a few years ago. All came out fine (except the nurse who did it was some homely woman (damn it!). But it was interesting watching it all on the TV monitor. So guess I go get this thing done before the end of the year.
16. Well off to make coffee, and get off to work. Happy Weekend everyone!
17. I was thinking. With the issues going on in Russia, I wonder if LiveJournal is going to have problems like they did a few years ago. Hope not.
18. Also note. Mama was suppose to make it with us this year, but she was sick. So she stayed home :(
