iMac question

I am too lazy to look this up, but if I put in a CD in iTunes, how can I download a specific song to post, or send. I tried to change the preferences "Encoder" from AAC to AIFF to save to Quicktime player, but it didn't work. Or was that the wrong step. Or can this not be done?

yeah, you can do it...

1) Rip the CD into iTunes like you normally do. Eject disc when done.
2) select the song you want.
3) hit command-R which will "Reveal" the file in the finder.
4) do whatever you want with that file.
