Hmmmm, I've always wanted to go back in time, but only to specific events / time periods.

I want if he has any control over his time travels or if they're random and that's why he needs weapons. On the other hand, maybe he wants to go back to dangerous times.

Anyway, it has to be a joke.

Where did you find this the convicts con news journal? LOL

I tell ya, it pays to do your research. When they told me that we were going back to the late 20th/early 21st century Earth, I had no idea that y'all were so technologically behind. I've spent half my time here waiting for some sort of "modern" gadgetry.

OH! Now I get it. This is a time traveler from the future who got stuck here and has/had to wait for our technology to reach a certain level to fix his device.

Makes sense and it happens so often. I mean our next door neighbors are three guys from Centi Alpha Seven. They are waiting for us to discover a way to produce enough anti-matter to power their engines. Fortunately for them they live a long time (50,000 years on average and these guys are young at only 3510 years each). BTW, the default relationship on Centi Alpha Seven is homosexual, so go figure. They think Earth is just now starting to become civilized, though, they figure we'll always be backwards in some respects.

Yeah, I asked them why they just don't give us the technology but they said something about a prime directive. I think it is a prime way to con us out of our anti-matter.

LOL!!

Think more along the lines of a group of immortal spirits who are "born" into a particular place and time, and live out their entire "lifetime" observing as a native.

In order to prevent contaminating the timeline, these spirits have their memories wiped for the duration. They can take with them certain aspects of their personalities, like hobbies or interests; and they have a slight compulsion to visit a given area, where hopefully, they will meet, but not necessarily recognize their fellow travelers.

Now, imagine that the memory wipe isn't quite complete for one individual. This individual has residual traces of a memory of events that haven't happened; places he has never been; and people he has never met.

Of course, this would all have to be fiction. If any of the spirits could remember anything, the timeline would be at risk for contamination.

Wow! Somebody ought to capture this boy's 'thoughts' for a great fictional story-line.
