Facebook or not?

I was talking to kiltbear at the beer bust on Sunday, and he was telling me all the good things about Facebook. Even my not so internet savy friend Carlos has joined. Arg!!Do I have to join another site? Is it really worth it? I know it is different than this one. But is it really? Isn't this a bit of overlap? How much more internet connect do I really need? I need more human connect (lol)
So??? Convince me this would be a good venture.

I reconnected with a lot of people I have been out of touch with for years, and it's been a good thing. I'm also making a few new connections in my industry. It can be a time suck, but now that I'm "up and running," not so much. I'm too tired and hungry right now to say more. I was a skeptic and didn't want to join. Then I did. And I'm happy with it.

It's a necessary evil! If nothing else, joining stops all the "why aren't you on facebook?" conversations.
