Facebook or not?

kiltbear at the beer bust on Sunday, and he was telling me all the good things about Facebook. Even my not so internet savy friend Carlos has joined. Arg!!Do I have to join another site? Is it really worth it? I know it is different than this one. But is it really? Isn't this a bit of overlap? How much more internet connect do I really need? I need more human connect (lol)
So??? Convince me this would be a good venture.
