burning bed?

I woke up this morning smelling burning plastic. My electric blanket wires were snapped at one section, and was slowly burning. They burned my sheet, and put a hole in my favorite duvet cover. Oy! I hate that smell! Off to get a new blankie.
I rather be "hot" in bed other ways than this (lol)

That's exactly what I thought. Now I must think what he/she/it is trying to tell me or warn me about :o). Plus now I have to go find a new blanket. It's getting cold at night; especially sleeping alone ;-)

In any case, it scared me, too! And, if the mattress or something cotton-y had caught, it could have smouldered for HOURS!
