This morning I got up extra early to do the first part of food shopping.
First It was off to Costco to fill up on gas. No Lines!
Then to Safeway. Of course very few shopping in the store. But as soon as I got to the check out line, there was a long line LOL
1. My freezer is stuffed with 3 bags of frozen chicken breast, turkey bacon (divided in to 3-4 servings, and wrapped), wheat bread, salmon, steaks, frozen turkey burgers, and veggies
2. This time I bought 4 boxes of 18 eggs each (buy 1 get one free)
3. I bought the only Vanilla Soy milk I like, and also a half gallon of low fat milk (to change it up)
(I have been drinking soy forever. Think it might be good to get back to cows milk for a bit)
4. 2 large containers of Low fat Cottage Cheese. This is a great snack for day or at night. Loaded with Casein Protein, a slow burning protein, perfect for after workouts.
5. Easy deli packaged deli meats, Turkey and Ham (which I use in my omelets too).
6. The 3 things at the bottom, are yams (not turds); which I bake ahead of time with my chicken breasts, so when I get back from the gym at night, dinner is ready!
7. Tomatoes, Avocados, and 14-15 large red apples were also purchased. One apple, with a protein drink (mixed with a little coffee), is great one hour before workouts. Energy!
8. Tomorrow off to Trader Joe's to get fresh veggies, more coffee,chips,tuna, Greek yogurt, etc... to fill up the fridge
