Hawaiian Food. and THEY DID IT!

cellboy1.Yesterday it was off to SF to meet a group of 12 friends,at 440, for Ho's roommate's(Byran) B-day drinks, then off to Hukilau Hawaiian restaurant for some good food.
2. Bar and restaurant, not a fancy place, but good food, and a great price.
3. Of course the folks at 440, and the eatery we were glued to the TV watching the Giants play Philly.
4. The appetizers were fried this and fried that. Being I cut back on that food, I was up with a bit of indigestion early am. But a little water and baking soda does the trick.
5. I had the combo, pork, chicken, beef combo. The Hawaiian beer was wonderful; sweet with a slice of pineapple on the side of the glass.
6. The live music was on hold due to the game. After the Giants won, the two guys with electric guitars sang lots of Hawaiian songs, and Rick one of our friends, who is Hawaiian, got up and did some Hawaiian dancing for the crowd.
7. We went back to the Castro, 440 was packed, so I stayed for a few minutes then home.
8. I had to get gas, so I stopped at the Shell on Mission, near Dolores. The sidewalks were crowded with people celebrating the win. Orange T-shirts spinning, car horns honking, people screaming with joy.
9. I will have to catch some of the highlights this morning.
10. The World Series will be a very needed boost to SF; to its ailing economy.
11. I suppose those working in the area of the park will find it a bit crowded and busy that day
12. And I bet lots of people will leave work early that day too! I know I'll try.
