When in college, a million years ago, at UC Irvine, I had joined a fraternity. One of the members parents owned the former home that Liz Taylor and Mike Todd leased in Palm Springs (my fraternity friends parents also owned a home in Newport Beach (nice to be comfortable! :(
We stayed and partied for the whole weekend! This was not Hell Week. Or hazing week. But a weekend retreat. I don't remember too much about the place, or what the home really looked like, for it was so long ago, I was probably not that impressed then (or I partied too much! LOL). All I remember was that the living room area was huge! And the weather was hot!

In 1958, Taylor and her third husband, producer Michael Todd, were leasing a house on West Hermosa Place in Palm Springs when Todd was killed in a plane crash in Grants, N.M. The seven-bedroom, 10,000-square-foot home, called the Elizabeth Taylor Estate, is available for special events and rentals, and regularly hosts weddings for couples drawn to the celebrity history and stunning grounds of the 1.5-acre property. In 2010, the home changed hands for $5.2M.
