Texting. The new way of speak? (ramble)

1. I think texting is one of the best things ever.

2. It's great when your in a situation when you can't speak to them at the moment. If in a crowded noisy environment it's works well!

3. A bit hard to do when driving though. LOL! (I had a fender bender because of my frickin cell phone)

4. When your dating someone, or want to be in contact with someone, they can send messages when your at work. And no one has to know!

5. But sometimes annoying is when your dating someone. They are free to talk, as you are free to talk, but they continue to text (or send emails for that matter). You never hear their voice except when meeting in person, which can be only once in awhile.

6. No feelings are conveyed or shared. No human touch, just a keypad touch. Is this considered avoidance of speak? Or just laziness, or lack of communication skills?

7. Is this the sign of our new way of speak?

8. And now they say people are getting new aliments (finger/joint pain) from texting too much. Oy!

I prefer to speak to people than texting. I´m very slow in doing it. I like to write e-mails because I´m really fast in writing with my computer keyboard but not with my mobile phone. But I prefer to speak to peoople, more personal, more human. Short messages are fine in some situations, like you wrote, but a good talk to someone is much better. :-)
