burning bed?

I woke up this morning smelling burning plastic. My electric blanket wires were snapped at one section, and was slowly burning. They burned my sheet, and put a hole in my favorite duvet cover. Oy! I hate that smell! Off to get a new blankie.
I rather be "hot" in bed other ways than this (lol)
