Saturday night, last minute, instead of going to Bearracuda (underwear night), I decided to go to the Whitcomb Hotel for the SF Leather contest. I'm glad I did.
1. Not only were there the familiar faces, to catch up with, but some very hot and new visiting boys and men in town.
2. The contest, this year was very good.
3. MC's Lenny Bhroberg, and Donna Sachet were great. In fact Donna was at her best. Funny, witty as usual, and had the crowd in laughter, many a time.

(L-R) #1 Lance Holman, #2 Stefano Tiziano, #3 Robbie Leonard

4. Second runner up for the Mr SF Leather contest is contestant #3 Robbie Leonard, first runner up is contestant #2 Stefano Tiziano, and the new Mr SF Leather is Lance Holman.
Lance will go on to compete at IML in May 2010.
5. I am glad for Lance. He is one of the nicest men I know. The fact that his title is Mr Powerhouse, and now Mr SF Leather, has not affected his demineur one bit. He is just nice to everyone. No attitude.
6. Stefano, was represented by the Citadel. A gay/bi/straight venue.
7. Interestingly Stefano, professed that he was bisexual. The large group of his supporters in the crowd were bi, gay, plus many straight women and men.
8. I mentioned to someone today, that it was suggested by someone that he maybe was not bi, but straight.
9. The response was, "Nothing says that SF Leather Contest is gay only. What would happen if a straight man won the contest?. Would this tarnish the contest? What would it do to IML?" Interesting question. Are there any SFL/IML rules with regards to straight contestants?
10. In any case, does it really matter whether he is gay, bi, or straight? He was a very good contestant. And his love, experience, and knowledge of the leather community, was as good as the rest, if not more than most.
11. That night, inclusiveness of every community was stressed and mentioned many a time.
12. The panel of judges for the event include: Brandon Clark, Mr SF Leather 2009; Jeffrey Payne, IML 2009; Dirk burns, SF Leather Daddy's boy XXIV; Daddy Sal Hopkins; and IML 1994 Jeff Tucker.
13. The night ended with friends at 440. And home by 12:30am! Now that's a switch! Home early! lol
14. Sunday was a sleep in day, grocery shopping, and yes.....
15. It was off to the Eagle and Lone Star for a few hours. Many in the crowd were visitors for last nights event. I did get to speak with IML 2009 Jeffery Payne. His Dallas accent is so sexy :)
16. So got home early for a good night sleep.
17. Ugh. Tomorrow is a work day :(
