Alice (friday ramble)

1. Every time SF Movie Bears posts an email, 9 times out of 10, a later email comes out with a correcton to the previous email LOL.
2. A new notice just came out a few hours ago.... I'm waiting for the correction. LOL
3. I'd prefer a BF, or a consistent FB to share a movie, and hold hands with in the dark. No worries. I am getting used to going to the movies on my own. Plus it's easier to go it on one's own, when it's a last minute decision.
4. Since it is nearly impossible to get friends together for a movie I decided to just go anyway. I don't want this to fly by, like Avatar did.
5. So, I ran to the Century Cineplex in San Bruno during lunch, and purchased a ticket to see Alice in Wonderland tonight
6. I am leaving work, 20 minutes early, to get a good seat :)

Note: My friend Griff did email about 8 people to go to breakfast Saturday, and movie for 1 pm in the Castro. Most can't. I have gym appt in the morning. And I think the lines will be impossibly long.
Plus I need to stay in for part of Saturday, and work on my taxes :(

Alice (my after movie thoughts)

An extension on Lewis Carroll's original story, Tim Burton did a fairly good job, but my thoughts on this are:
1. Slow moving at the beginning
2. Medium speed through the middle
3. Quick and fast to the end
4. Johnny Depp was good, as were the other actors.
4. But, I liked Avatar better. This seemed to be missing something. But I quite can't figure out what.
5. I tend to agree with this review

6. Looks like every other upcoming movie is 3D too!
7. Is that a good thing, or a bad thing?
