Those voices inside my head

1. All day yesterday, I kept telling myself, I am going back to the gym. It has been almost 2 weeks since the last visit due to my chest cold
2. A voice inside of my head kept saying, I should go. Then another voice kept saying, "Well, maybe tomorrow, or maybe on the weekend."
3. So after work, I got changed, and the voice kept saying, "Maybe I should wait till Thursday.". Then another voice kept saying, "No! If you don't go, you might not go at all, for a long time!"
4. But, the other voice said, "Maybe I should stay in an make sure I am really better."
5. Then the voice said, "No! You'd think you're trying to quit an addiction! Go, work out, but just start slow, since it has been some time, to avoid a relapse of cold."..."But I can sit and relax."
6. "But?"..... "No!"....."But?..."No!"
7. So I went to the gym a bit late, but had a good work out. Now I am ready and psyched for more.
8. I know if I skip any gym this week or the next, I may end up not going for months or weeks!
9. Glad I went!

A hunk, and just a "nice guy" on American Idol

When I was a child, I would spend summers at my Aunt and Uncle's 200 acre dairy farm in Ontario, Canada. At the age of 7, I would watch my 3 beefy cousins bailing hay, riding the horses and rounding up the cattle. I also remember my Uncle, who was over 6'5" towering over me, smoking his favorite cigar. I vaguely remember my Aunt filling up the large tin tub, that she placed in the huge kitchen area, with the hand pumped well water, that was heated on the wood burning stove. Then watching my beefy cousins soak their sore and dusty bodies off, from a long hard day.
This guy reminds me of them. Cowboy hats and all. Nice, raised well, and from a good family. This guy is centered. He will keep is head on straight fame or no fame. Memories of my cousins and of that time, is probably why I find men in cowboy hats so sexy! Woof!
