Micky moved into my building a yr ago with her partner Rita. She had Cancer at the time. She had not been doing well these last two weeks. Micky died, last night, in her apt, with Rita and friends by her side. The coroner took the body this morning. She was only in her late 40's or early 50's. Sad. Always so hard to know what to say :(

To quote my Grandmother, "Cry for the living, not the dead. For the living have more crosses to bear."

green thumb neglected

I have pretty much of a green thumb. Not this time. With the trips to Sac practically every weekend, I have hardly peeked outside. Most of my potted plants are wilted, on the verge of gone. Oh well, weather has turned cold again. I just watered. Will wait and replant if needed when the weather warms up. At least the indoor plants are happy :)

We were just informed that my moms home sale just fell though. This was a "quiet sale", by the mother of the gay couple that lived next door. The woman, is living in Palm Springs; and for some odd reason could not complete the purchase. Her representative said it was nothing we did, but for some financial reasons, she could not go forward (either her stock investments plummeted, or her home sale failed? Who knows?). So back to square one. We may get a large equity line on the home, and also put home on mkt. That means I am up to Sac on weekends even more :(. Thank god I know some friends up there or I would go bonkers!
It's been a long day. Up at the gym at 6am, and I am pooped. Off to dreamland.....

another ramble

It has surfaced to my mind, again, that lately, my sex life, on a scale of 1-10 has been about a 6 or 7, 10 being good. But my love life has been 0. Therefore, I am really not content. And at times not too happy about all of this. Things need to change. In time, I know they will.
Someday :) It just takes time.
