another change in the leather community
Apr. 8th, 2008 01:16 pmemailed to members today. This Ball was held at the Green Room, at SF Civic Center for years. Quite fun, and the men a treat to view.
After 16 years the Phoenix Uniform Club of San Francisco has decided to discontinue their Pride Weekend annual "Uniform & Leather Ball." The Phoenix appreciate the support of a dedicated group of participants that faithfully returned each year. Unfortunately, overall attendance waned, the Ball failed to capture the attention of youth, & had operated at a loss for 3 years running. Many of us, however, will miss the Ball sorely.
As the US economy enters a recession, it is important to mention that if the San Francisco Leather & fetish community wants continued access to such gems as the Ball, specialized clothing/boot shops, and leather/fetish bars/events, they most support them financially or they will disappear.
The Phoenix are now concentrating on producing a Halloween event which will have more contemporary music & hopefully appeal to fetishists of all ages.

1. Paid Property Taxes (not from my tax refund, but out of my paycheck - will be a bit tight for a week
2. Joined the Old Style Gym
3. In the old gym at 6am with my trainer. Some guy walked in, with huge shoulders and arms under the sweats. Blond hair, blue eyes, diamond stud in ear; Very beefy and bearish. Woof! My new crush for the week!! I will have to have him "spot" me some time :). My trainer wrote my schedule for the month. Mostly conditioning for two weeks, them PR's on the 3rd.
4. Finished a months worth of coding and mailing invoices to corporate.
5. Listened and cleared all the "Call Source" phone calls that came in the last 6 weeks. Corporate listens to our incoming calls via this method. I hate listening to myself!
6. Off to the Chiropractor in a few minutes for an adjustment. My back and nerves are 95% better! The nerve in my shoulder still continues to bother (for months). He said a trick shoulder, and can have it orthoscopically fixed. Easy out patient procedure.
7. Pooped. I am on line LJ, and sites too much. Need to get to sleep earlier
