If LJ does fold, which I think it won't or at least I hope it won't, it seems that all of us here are mutually attached. Even if someone on my friends list is not on your list, we somehow (6 degrees of separation) are linked to each other (or will eventually friend each other).
So obviously it would be prudent to Join the same site??
Arg! And what of the other communities within LJ that we had joined???

Maybe some of you smart intelligent computer/blog geeks will have an idea, or have done the research as to what site to join, should all of this happen.

Would hate to lose each and everyone's unique and special posts :(

And wonder if it were possible to archive what we have posted here on LJ, or somehow transfer our "history" over to a new site? Should we need to move.

I swear that when I joined Live Journal 2 yrs ago, we had a option, by checking a box, that whenever someone mentioned our profile name in their posts, we would be notified. I remember checking the box, and someone mentioned me once or twice, and I was notified of that. This choice was under the notifications section.

So I just requested help on this issue. The Live Journal help desk says they never had it. I know they did. Didn't they? Or was I dreaming.
